This project involves remediating old non-compliant, inaccessible web content on multiple public-facing websites that has been migrated to the WordPress platform in 2013. At the time, staff who managed the Agency websites did not do due diligence for accessibility prior to launching the websites. During this remediation, I have implemented measures for front-end security, restructured web content and 3 websites down to 2 websites, remediated web content for UI, UX and accessibility; remediated framework templates; developed and implemented a TCDD web application; and coordinated deployment of a development website for the Agency’s public facing websites.
For the home page, I update and maintain the navigation and design, update PHP and CSS, produce webpage templates, produced web graphics, and manage the order the blogs posts appear.
For the Legislative Bill Tracking pages, the idea was to create accessible content and provide a printable pdf of a downloaded formatted report. I retrieved data from Telicon, a lobbying data warehouse that tracks legislation; uploaded data into a web application that renders content into a table; and a downloadable accessible report.
Blog — I maintained categories, tags, and works, developed and designed webpages, blog posts and custom posts. Developed web graphics consistent with TCDD’s brand that are relevant to informational topics, promotes the mission and grants-funded projects, and are accessible to people with disabilities.
