Texas Music Moves You Advertising Campaign

Texas Music Moves You is an advertising campaign for a local online guitar shop that specializes in new electric guitars with custom guitar skins and refurbished, vintage electric guitars. The client is preparing for the grand opening of their new workshop and show room based in Austin, Texas. They want to express a wacky Austin vibe of everyone, especially the K–12 crowd, is cool and welcome while emphasizing the high quality of their unique guitar skins and vintage guitars. They want folks to know where to go to get unique, individualized electric guitars they can use to make a big show of their guitar playing.

This project includes collateral and website design for the Texas Music Moves You Campaign. The interactive website features a guitar game interface where the user clicks on the picks and the guitar skin changes, the scorpions scurry about, and when users hover over the guitar strings, they sway. The collateral includes 3 posters that will be made available for purchase and distributed around the country to guitar shops that sell the skinned guitars. The creative project process included research on the guitar trade and K thru 12 musical instrument market, then word lists and college strategy, sketching of different campaign concepts, K to 12 audience selection testing, finally, client feedback and mockup iterations.
