Diamond Dogs
Diamond Dogs Book Design
The book cover was printed on large format cotton paper. The outside cover was painted by hand with two coats of acrylic paint, sealed with matte medium and trimmed with rhinestones. The pull is a jewelry finding attached with coated wire sealed on the inside with archival tape.
Typefaces used for this project: Crackvetica, Stencil Std, American Typewriter and Cut-n-Paste.
The initial concept sketches and moodboard were based upon David Bowie’s glam-trash style song Diamond Dogs, 1974. The song, Diamond Dogs, is included on the concept album of the same name, Diamond Dogs, by David Bowie originally released in 1974 on RCA.
